Journal of Health Vising ‘Last Word’
Time to write my quarterly article for the JHV. Each time I am asked to write something current, which affects health. This month I decided to write about climate change and how Health Visitors can encourage families to think about the resources they use and how their carbon footprint can be minimised. I wrote about weaning babies and considering the benefits of potatoes, grown in this country as opposed to rice, which although easily digested, has to be imported. I also discussed the use of disposable nappies, plastic toys and baby carriers, some of which add to the landfill sites. The article should be published later this month.
