27th January 2017

On the 25th I was in London attending the Editorial Board Meeting of the Journal of Health Visiting. We discussed the content of the Journal, how to encourage new writers and what other areas of health visiting to explore. The meeting was 2 hours and the travel time was 10 hours, but it is such a honour to attend the meetings. My responsibilities, apart from attending the meetings, is to review papers which are sent by authors in to the journal

The following day I attended the full day of talks within the AWPMH Forum in Cardiff, where progress into the formation of Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Teams across Wales, was discussed. This is such an innovative programme and one which Wales should be justly proud of. I joined the first meeting almost 10 years ago, when there were about 10 members. Today there were over 30 members around the table!
