Writing for journals is not always as easy as it seems. Even when you know the subject like the back of your hand, putting it into words that make sense to everyone else is a challenge! When I did the research on Jinn, it took me 2 years to get ethical approval and permission to enter the country. I could only do that with a legitimated study and a responsible sponsor, both were available but it took a while to write for approval etc. I spent 3 weeks interviewing and forever transcribing the narratives. I was preoccupied with other stuff and my paper had to take a back seat. When I did submit it, unsurprisingly it was rejected. I will have to take a critical look at the existing paper as I need to get this published… even if it is a controversial subject!
The second article foolishly didn’t have sufficient articles and needed more explanations – okay I will get around to rewriting that one first and then concentrate on the second one – after I have written the eLearning!
