Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development is the holistic commitment of professionals towards the enhancement of personal skills and proficiency throughout their careers

This is defined internationally by a variety of terms which include: continuing nursing education, life-long learning and professional skills development, to name but a few. Whilst there is no universally agreed definition for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), the general purpose in this context is to help health professionals to maintain an updated skill set in order to remain fit to practise and to respond to the changing technologies and demands of health service delivery (NMC 2014).

Although the UK CPD market is unregulated, PMH Training provides CPD accredited courses that have been ratified by the ‘CPD Certification Service‘,  a leading independent CPD accreditation institution operating to complement the Continuing Professional Development policies of professional institutes and academic bodies.

For each hour of recommended training in Perinatal Mental Health, we provide 1 credit point per hour. Some courses can accumulate 15 CPD points

The following courses have been CPD approved for use by delegates toward their professional bodies annual CPD obligations.
